My name is Sharon , I am the owner here at The Fitness Vault.
I really got into Pilates after the birth of my youngest son in 1999 when I suffered a prolapsed disc along with excruciating sciatic pain… Pilates literally brought me back to life!
I have now been teaching Pilates and helping others to regain their quality of life, improve their posture and build their overall strength (body and mind) with Pilates since 2005.
Reformer Pilates develops a strong core by supporting, lengthening and strengthening muscles of the whole body. It improves power, builds strength, increases flexibility, encourages control, corrects posture along with strenghtening the mind.

The Pilates Reformer is the best known member of the Pilates equipment family. It was invented by Joseph Pilates almost 100 years ago. It is a bed like frame with a platform on which uses a succession of springs, straps and bars to create resistance and/or resistance depending on the users needs.
As with the Reformer, the Pilates tower was introduced by Joseph Pilates to add an extra dimension. It is an upright piece of equipment using springs and gravity for resistance and assistanc for upper and lower body.
The Pilates Chair may be the lesser known piece of apparatus but soon becomes a firm favourite amongst users. Adding yet another dimension to the massive range of exercise repitoire and almost endless possibilities. With the added benefit of being chair based for rehabilitation for those less mobile.
